Long regarded as a wonderful place to live, the classic Palm Springs neighborhood of Deepwell Estates possesses a heritage of exceptional Desert Modern residential architecture and a history of celebrity residents; a place valued both for privacy, its proximity to Downtown, and mountain views.

Originally built for Palm Springs’ 10th mayor, Edgar McCoubrey by celebrated architect Howard Lapham, this c.1961 home has been completely and luxuriously reconfigured within its Desert Modernist design vocabulary by Teddy Lee of the design/build firm TED Construction, a renovation highlighted by sliding walls of glass that blur the boundaries between inside and out. Like so many Deepwell homes, it presents an austere street front but opens up beyond walls and hedges.
